Landmine blasted by Police at Jodinga-Nabarangpur.


Nabarangpur.
A landmine planted by Maoists was blasted by security personnel near Shanti Nagar, 4km away from Raighar  naxal-hit-Nabarangpur district today.
At the Jodinga-Raighar jungle two boys found the wires and try to tug the wires in the meanwhile they found some villagers ran away. Villagers came to the spot saw the huge wires and intimated Righar police.

Following the information, Superintendent of Police Niti Sekhar, SDPO Umerkote  Ashok Kumar Patnaik along with other police officials rushed to the spot near Jodenga, located the landmine which was more than 15 feet under the ground.

Police suspect landmines might be planted at the time of construction of the road without taking any risk of defuse Supt. of Police Mr. Sekhar directed the police personnel’s to blast the landmine. We suspect planting of more such landmines. Although search operation has been launched along the road from Raighar to district bordering, Said Sp. Mr.Sekhar
